Associate | Public Liability – Perth
Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm. We are looking for an experienced Lawyer (5+ years in practice) to join our public liability team. This role will suit a proactive, passionate and results‑driven Lawyer who specialises in public liability, or has experience in another area within the personal injury space, or a mixed practice, and wishes to specialise in public liability.
Responsibilities
* Managing a practice of pure public liability files
* Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business opportunities
* Maintaining strong client relationships
* Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
* Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
* Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
Qualifications
* Previous experience and a passion for Public Liability or in a similar personal injury role (defendant firm experience included)
* Superior communication skills
* A calm and easy‑going nature
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
* Ability to handle sensitive issues and challenging clients
* Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
* Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
