An opportunity has arisen to join a privately backed, vertically integrated property development business delivering some of the most substantial residential and mixed-use projects currently underway in Sydney. With a long-term pipeline secured and major projects moving through planning and delivery, the business is seeking an experienced Development Manager to take carriage of complex, high-density developments.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in environments where decisions are made quickly, accountability sits with the project lead, and outcomes matter. You will be entrusted with significant autonomy and expected to drive performance across both the commercial and delivery aspects of large-scale developments.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for owning major projects from early-stage feasibility through planning, construction and completion, working closely with senior leadership, external consultants and internal delivery teams. These are tower-scale and precinct developments, requiring strong technical judgement, commercial discipline and confidence navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead key components of large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across the development lifecycle
* Support development strategy, planning pathways and authority engagement for complex sites
* Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams
* Contribute to commercial management including budgets, cashflows, contracts and funding inputs
* Oversee design development with a focus on buildability, risk management and value optimisation
* Provide reporting and recommendations to senior leadership to support project and portfolio decisions
