UGL is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our small, supportive team of four, maintaining and operating the Glenrowan Solar Farm. This innovative renewable energy project is a key part of UGL's New Energy portfolio, and we're looking for motivated individuals to contribute to its success.
This role is Monday–Friday, 8-hour days, with occasional overtime and on-call requirements every second weekend.
What You'll Be Doing
* Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on solar farm equipment to ensure operational integrity.
* Troubleshooting, fault-finding, and repairing electrical systems on-site.
* Supporting general farm upkeep, including operating a tractor for slashing and spraying weeds.
* Collaborating with a close-knit team to meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Completing inspections, documentation, and reporting as part of routine maintenance.
About You
We're looking for electricians in the Wangaratta or Benalla region who bring strong trade skills and enjoy the added variety of farm-based tasks.
* Proven experience as a licensed electrician, ideally with renewable energy or construction experience.
* Strong focus on safety and compliance while working independently or within a team.
* Flexibility to assist with non-electrical farm work when required.
* Positive communication skills to work effectively in a small team environment.
Essential Qualifications
* VIC Electrical Licence.
* Construction White Card.
* Valid CPR/LV certification and First Aid Certificate.
* Driver Licence
