Your new role


As the Manager - Information Management, you will:

* Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the City's Recordkeeping and Information Management Framework.
* Promote best practices across the organisation through expert advice, support services, and training.
* Foster collaborative relationships to build information management capabilities that support strong governance and data integrity.

Strategic Systems & Compliance
Establish and maintain structured systems that ensure data integrity, compliance, and informed decision-making.
Leverage technology to optimise recordkeeping and reporting processes.
Drive analytics and reporting functions to generate actionable insights.


Capability Building & Support
Empower staff with training, resources, and support to manage records effectively.
Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of system enhancements.
Deliver responsive customer support and facilitate workshops to build user confidence.


Team Leadership & Innovation
Build and lead a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and customer service.
Champion cross-functional collaboration and embed information management principles across the City.
Drive strategic projects and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.


Governance & Operational Excellence
Maintain and enhance the City's Recordkeeping and Information Management Framework.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the State Records Act 2000 and Freedom of Information Act 1992.
Identify risks and opportunities, and lead initiatives that align with the City's strategic goals.


What you'll need to succeed

* A Diploma in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or demonstrated industry experience.
* Minimum five years' experience in records/information management, including system design, implementation, or upgrades.
* Strong knowledge of legislative frameworks such as the State Records Act 2000 and Freedom of Information Act 1992.
* Proven ability to drive organisational change in recordkeeping and data governance.
* Experience in compliance monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address business needs and system enhancements.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
* A current C Class Driver's License.
* The ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate
