Here's what you'll need
Jacobs' Earthing and Electromagnetic Studies team is seeking a dynamic Principal or Senior / Lead Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Transients (EMT) Engineer to join our innovative consultancy in the Asia Pacific region, working from one of our Australia offices. This role offers exciting career growth prospects and the chance to work on diverse projects across multiple sectors. Read on to find out more We are open to someone who is looking to specialise further into this space, with a solid Earthing background and some exposure to EMI / EMT transient studies.
Key Area of Focus
* Conduct advanced EMI and EMT studies, including Earth Potential Rise, Low Frequency Induction, Lightning, EMF, EMC, Insulation Coordination, and Transformer Inrushes.
* Manage the engineering delivery of small teams to deliver quality project outcomes.
* Provide technical expertise for bid preparation and business development.
* Mentor and develop engineers to expand Jacobs' EMI / EMT services.
* Foster positive client relationships and represent Jacobs at thought leadership events.
What you'll bring
* Degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering.
* A variety of sector exposure from High Voltage areas such as Substations, Transmission, Infrastructure Power including Rail, Water, Mining, Airports or Industrial services.
* Proficiency in industry standard software tools such as CDEGS and PSCAD.
* Capable technical report writing skills and ability to present to various internal / external stakeholders.
* Commitment to quality assurance and risk mitigation.
