AusCycling is the nation's peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia's Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Position Purpose
The Operations and Logistics role is responsible for coordinating and implementing operational planning for AusCycling Performance athletes, programs, and National Teams across Para-cycling, Track, Road, BMX (Freestyle and Race), and MTB (Cross-Country). The role supports training and competition for short, medium, and long term to maximise performance outcomes.
Working closely with the Operations and Logistics team, the role delivers planning and support for Performance activities, including budgeting, logistics, and compliance for major events such as UCI World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Success in this role relies on strong collaboration with the Director of Operations, Head Coaches, Performance Managers, National Coaches, and support staff, and will be measured by the delivery of clear, well-communicated, and effective activity planning and implementation.
Responsibilities
Operational & Event Support
* Collaborate with the Performance Operations team to deliver logistical and administrative support across Track, Road, Para, BMX (Race & Freestyle), and MTB (XCO), including budgeting and compliance for major events.
* Support Performance Managers of the Centres of Excellence (Endurance & Para at SASI, Acceleration & Action at QAS) in planning and delivery.
* Perform the role of Operations Team Manager support at targeted events.
* Assist in emergency and critical incident response where required.
Planning & Administration
* Maintain the activity planner, scoping documents, checklists, budgets, and risk assessments.
* Coordinate pre-event briefings, intra-team communications, and accurate records of athlete/staff attendance and requirements.
* Scribe and distribute meeting notes, track actions, and follow up.
* Contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and tools.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
* Act as key contact for and at daily performance environment (facility bookings, storage, security, WHS, and improvements).
* Coordinate annual AusCycling athlete orientation with Senior Leadership, Integrity, Media & Marketing, and Partnerships teams.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date contacts and distribution lists for staff, athletes, parents/guardians, and contractors.
* Respond to athlete and parent/guardian enquiries with professionalism and care.
* Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (AIS, ORSR, UCI, AOC, PA, CGA, HPN/SIS-SAS).

* Meet the needs of coaches, athletes, and performance service staff through timely and effective support.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in administration and management, or in relevant field or industry
* At least four (4) years administrative experience in a busy performance based environment, preferably within high performance sport
* Experience in liaison with event organisers, international and national sport bodies, suppliers and the general public
* Understanding of high performance sport and its various requirements, not limited to travel
* Work Health and Safety trained; or willingness to acquire WH&S training
* Computer literacy is essential including MS Office suite
* Experience in maintaining and reporting records
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative to handle a wide variety of tasks
* Comprehensive understanding of UCI technical regulations
* Open driver's license
* Senior First Aid certificate
