This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Part Time and FixedTerm Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.

What is our Midwife role?

We are seeking suitable applicants to join our Midwifery Group Practise team at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

This role provides continuity of midwifery care during the pre-antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum period as a member of a midwifery group practice within a Hospital Setting.

Works in accordance with the ANMC Competency Standards for Midwives, the Code of Ethics and professional conduct for midwives. MGP midwives work with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and evidence base care which is culturally sensitive and meets the needs of individual women.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
