Operations Supervisor Job Description
This role is responsible for all aspects of safety, performance, resourcing, reporting and team leadership of the operation at our depot.
The Operations Supervisor will lead by example, setting and maintaining work standards and behaviours, holding team members to account. They will also ensure that all team members adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and safety standards.
The successful candidate will be a confident, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, able to build and maintain relationships and provide a quality seamless service on behalf of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Safety Leadership - Ensure that all team members adhere to SOP's and safety standards.
* Team Leadership and Coordination - Proactively lead the team, setting and maintaining work standards and behaviours, holding team members to account.
* Operational Performance - Ensure daily and weekly KPI's are updated and reviewed (DIFOT requirements).
* Checking and signing off on local and outbound loads ensuring load restraint standards and Chain of Responsibility expectations are met.
