About the Role
As an Operations Accountant at Savanna Energy, you'll provide hands-on financial support across our business, helping managers and teams make informed decisions. You'll lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost reviews, analyse contracts and cost centres, and track business performance to ensure the numbers add up. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with data, analysing financial information, and being part of a collaborative, results-driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost review processes
• Analyse client contracts and cost centres to support revenue and cost decisions
• Take ownership of operational cost review processes, including overheads, budgets, and variance analysis
• Participate in weekly revenue and cost review meetings with key stakeholders
• Support month-end close processes, including revenue accruals, costing accruals, and third-party cost/revenue reviews
• Respond to queries from operations and end-users regarding costing and forecasting
• Assist with tender and bid costings
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of finance-related business processes (e.g., AP and AR)
About You:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA desirable)
• 3–5 years' experience in an operations or management accounting role
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Dynamics GP, SAP, or similar
• Excellent time management, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience in commercial industries, oil & gas, resources, or heavy equipment is a plus
