About The Opportunity
Join the team at the NSW Refugee Health Service. Supported by a multi-disciplinary team you will be providing a primary health care clinic for people from a refugee background. The clinics are located in Auburn and Liverpool. We are looking for a GP with excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to trauma-informed and culturally safe practice. Preference is for Mondays, with the additional clinical day to be negotiated.

What You'll Be Doing
To provide clinical assessment, initial management, referral and advocacy for patients referred to the NSW Refugee Health Service, primarily community-based asylum seekers without access to Medicare, and to contribute to other clinically related functions of the Refugee Health Service.

* Medical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, with five years or more postgraduate experience.
* Significant experience in providing primary health care to patients of different cultural backgrounds, and in using interpreters.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including relevant computer skills.
* Evidence of ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development.
* Interest in public health, and in access & equity in health.
