Job description: Qualified stonemason or person with stone benchtop processing experience Located in Dubbo - a rapidly growing regional city 4.5 hours from Sydney Full time, permanent position with overtime All wet processing with a high level of silica safety All Set Solutions Pty Ltd T/A Kitchen & Renovation Concepts has been operating for 16 years and is seeking a qualified Stonemason or person with stone benchtop experience to join the team to meet the growing demand for our stone surface products. Your tasks will include: Assess and interpret blueprints and plans to determine dimensions, stone selection, and installation. Order materials and supplies such as stone, glue, sealants, tools, etc. Plan and prepare for installation, such as clearing the area and erecting movable platforms to assist with installation. Lay stone, Dekton, marble, porcelain, etc. in specific arrangement (for example: in rows, horizontal or vertical), ensuring they align. Apply sealants or mortars in between and remove excess. Sealing the stones with products to increase their durability. Cut, install, construct and polish (where applicable) stone, Dekton, marble, porcelain, ceramic, marble, etc. to the size of the required spaces (wall or floor) and in accordance to customer’s specifications using manual and industrial tools and machines (for example; Waterjet, Bridge Saw and CNC - training given if necessary). Repair and restore stones slabs, Dekton, marble, porcelain, ceramic, marble, etc. where needed Finishing of stone surfaces for products such as kitchen benchtops and bathroom vanities using all necessary skills such as cutting, grinding, polishing and laminating using engineered and some natural stone products. Liaising with the internal project managers to ensure project timelines are met. Adhering to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice requirements. To be successful in this position you will have: Experience with all aspects of processing and installing engineered and natural stone benchtops Formal qualification in Stonemasonry (Certificate III) preferred but not essential if at least 2 years of experience in Stonemasonry A drivers licence and a Construction White Card (Australian applicants) A high attention to detail Be able to work autonomously and within a team environment with a great work attitude Natural problem-solving skills Remuneration will be based on experience but will be in the range of $75,000 to $80,000.
