Job Opportunity:
The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor is an exciting position that plays a pivotal part in the construction industry. This key position is responsible for performing various tasks related to quantity surveying.
* Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors to identify new business opportunities
* Maintaining master-plans and feasibility budgets, cost-checking developing designs, tender evaluations, and analysis
* Cash flow projects, procurement, cost reporting, evaluation of variations, valuations, final account reporting, and claims preparation
Key Responsibilities:
* Maximizing value for clients through proactive cost management
* Exercising sound financial acumen to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
* Developing and implementing benchmarking processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and time to prepare cost models and plans
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
* Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia
* RICS/AIQS accreditation highly regarded
* Proficiency in the use of Cost X
* A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle from conception to completion
