Job Description

Aquila Mine is seeking an operational leader for a Mining Coordinator: Development position on a full-time permanent basis. The mine is situated in Middlemount, Queensland where you will find a local community looking to expand and grow its people.

This role supports the Development Superintendent to plan and execute the activities which are required to deliver the annual operating plan. The Mining Coordinator will ensure all development operational tasks required to meet operational targets are planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining compliance to all relevant legislative and safety requirements, and in line with Anglo's standards.

Responsibilities

* Maintain and coordinate a safe and productive mining environment within the development panel.
* Collaborate with development mechanical and electrical coordinators and other personnel and crews to meet business objectives within your scope.
* Communicate plans and raise issues to relevant site leaders in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the review and sign-off of the development operations plans and subsequently implement and audit the plan.
* Consistently deliver on performance targets, and seek continuous improvement for Safety, Costs and Resource Recovery.
* Ensure that clear and concise communication processes take place within each shift, between shifts and weekend crews.
* Analyse performance data to identify and prioritise areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with all people, safety, technical, operating and business systems, behaviours and culture in your area.
* Collaborate and build strong relationships across a range of both internal and external stakeholders.
* Adhere to Anglo American standards and procedures.

Qualifications

* Proven Development Panel experience within a coal mining operation.
* Hold the Supervisor competencies (S1,2,3) & Risk Management G2.
* In-depth knowledge of QLD Coal Mining Health and Safety Act 1999 and Regulations 2017.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying risks and implementing safe working practices.
* Demonstrated experience leading a team to safely deliver targets line with business plans.
* Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
* Experience in driving best practice through your department and into the business in line with business goals.
* Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes.
