About the Role
The Rig Move Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and coordination of all Savanna rig moves. This includes ensuring all equipment and loads are moved in compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and company standards, while supporting the timely and organised relocation of drilling rigs and associated gear. This casual position has the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate trucks safely to move rig equipment between leases
* Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with Weed Dec regulations
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including journey management and route assessments
* Inspect load restraint equipment and maintain high safety standards
* Communicate effectively with the Rig Move Manager, rig crews, and field representatives
* Monitor and support other drivers to improve safety and efficiency
* Follow all safety procedures, including Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management policies
* Monitor equipment maintenance and manage operational resources efficiently
About You
* Valid HC/MC Licence with at least 2 years experience
* Strong safety focus and commitment to compliance
* Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of fatigue management and load restraint requirements
* Reliable and proactive, with a high standard of personal PPE and vehicle care
