About the Role
The Publishing & Content Creation Manager leads GGSA's publishing operations and digital content management. This role oversees the full publishing lifecycle from planning, writing, editing and content assembly through to digital asset management and brand compliance. You will coordinate the delivery of GGSA's Annual Publishing Plan, uphold high publishing standards, and manage the product writing, editorial and content creation teams. You will be responsible for ensuring all digital images, footage and media assets are accurately catalogued, searchable, permissioned and accessible for use across curriculum, training, marketing and corporate materials. This role represents the quality publishing standard of the organisation and ensures all content digital, print and multimedia meets GGSA's style, branding, explicit‑instruction and innovation model requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Publishing Leadership
* Draft, coordinate and monitor the Annual Publishing Plan.
* Manage writing, editorial, content assembly and production workflows.
* Maintain the GGSA Style Guide, Product List and Publishing Operating Manual to ensure compliance across the organisation.
* Produce marketing content including webinars, blogs, web copy and product descriptors.
* Train, supervise and support staff within the Content Creation and Publishing teams.
* Guide publishing operations to ensure adherence to the GGSA innovation model and playbook processes.
Digital Content & Media Library Management
* Manage all digital images, video and media assets in the Digital Media Library.
* Collate, catalogue, tag, metadata‑attribute and store digital assets.
* Maintain accurate copyright, permissions and usage records.
* Source and supply images for curriculum, training, marketing and other internal teams.
* Coordinate acquisition and clearance of copyright for images and footage.
* Develop guidelines, procedures and training to ensure long‑term access, quality and consistency in digital asset management.
* Curate content for web, mobile and other platforms, integrating the work of writers and designers to meet brand and style requirements.
* Act as the primary liaison for all image and illustration requests across GGSA.
Workflow, Communication & Process Improvement
* Build strong communication channels with other GGSA departments.
* Identify and resolve workflow or sourcing issues that may jeopardise project schedules.
* Provide specialist technical advice on digital preservation and content curation.
* Contribute positively to GGSA culture and values.
Essential Criteria
* Experience with digital collections, digitisation or digital preservation.
* Understanding of metadata, standards, resource description, rights and permissions.
* Strong project management capability and attention to detail.
* Experience providing digital curation or preservation services.
* Ability to deliver high‑quality work in high‑volume, repetitive environments.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications.
