About Us

This is a rewarding role that directly impacts life-changing donations. Our team contributes to this vital cause by providing expert care and support to donors.

* Meet with potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donating blood or plasma.
* Lead the blood collection process, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for all involved.
* Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, as well as other necessary medical assessments.
* Set up equipment and machines for successful blood collection.
* Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
* Manage any adverse reactions experienced by donors, providing guidance and physical assistance as needed.
* Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in scheduling future appointments.


Requirements

* Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 22.7 kg are required for this position.
* A Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration are mandatory.
* The ability to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster, including weekends and afternoons, is also essential.
