As the Procurement Officer you'll support the delivery of essential services, playing a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and supplier management. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll drive cost efficiencies, build strategic supplier relationships, and ensure continuity of services that directly impact operations and customer outcomes.
* Execute category strategies aligned with operational needs and support internal approvals.
* Manage RFQs, lead supplier negotiations, and formalise supply and service agreements in collaboration with Legal.
* Coordinate the end-to-end purchasing process – from raising purchase requisitions to PO creation, follow-up, and payment.
* Set economic or quality targets for procurement projects and deliver in line with company policies.
* Partner with stakeholders across departments to drive standardisation, cost control, and service provider rationalisation.
* Conduct market scans to identify new opportunities and support continuous improvement.
* Maintain and nurture strong supplier relationships based on mutual value, transparency, and trust.
* Influence stakeholders and support organisational change in procurement initiatives.
* Manage suppliers from transactional level to strategic partnerships, depending on their value-add.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in purchasing, finance, logistics, or broader supply chain functions.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – able to build trust and navigate cross-functional relationships.
* Ability to draft and manage contracts, implement procedures, and support governance and compliance.
* A proactive mindset – curious, process-driven, and always looking for ways to improve
* Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Professional membership in a relevant procurement or supply chain body is desirable
