This role is a pivotal technical position within UpGuard's marketing team, focusing on full-stack development of our website.
You will build robust, high-performing web experiences, from front-end interfaces to back-end systems (largely leveraging Netlify).
You will contribute to the tech stack evolution, including modern frameworks like Astro, and collaborate with designers, content strategists, and SEO specialists to translate concepts into functional realities.What will you do?
Full-Stack Web Development: Take ownership of both front-end and back-end development for UpGuard's marketing website, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and scalability.Tech Stack Evolution & Implementation: Lead research, adoption, and implementation of new web technologies (Astro, Netlify, and other modern frameworks), contributing to architectural decisions and best practices.Build Interactive Experiences: Develop dynamic content such as tools and calculators, collaborating with designers to realize UX concepts.CMS Integration & Optimisation: Work with modern CMS platforms, optimizing their integration and performance for content delivery and marketing initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with web designers, project stakeholders, content teams, and SEO specialists to ensure technical SEO and effective content delivery.Performance & Security: Focus on performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and security across devices and browsers.Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing website features and infrastructure.What will you bring?
Full-Stack Development Expertise: 6+ years as a Full Stack Web Developer with a strong SaaS portfolio.Modern Web Technologies: Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) and back-end languages/frameworks (Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP).
CMS Proficiency: Experience working with and optimizing various CMS platforms.UI/UX Implementation: Ability to translate design mockups into pixel-perfect, functional interfaces.Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.Code Quality & Best Practices: Commitment to clean, well-documented, maintainable code.What will give you an edge?
Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms or cloud platforms (Netlify, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with database design.Experience with Jamstack architecture.Experience with internationalisation (i18n) and regionalised product offerings.Demonstrated or strong interest in developing with Astro and understanding its architecture.Understanding of web analytics and A/B testing implementation.Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Experience in cybersecurity or related technical B2B field.What's in it for you?
