Principal Category Manager (ASO7)

SA Health has one of the largest procurement and contracts management teams in South Australia. The department continues to lead the way in innovative supply chain and contracting practices. Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance (PSCF) is a business unit within SA Health and is central to SA Health's ability to deliver high quality health care services.

Randstad is working exclusively with SA Health and PSCF to recruit a Principal Category Manager (ASO7) to work in the ICT category team. This role reports directly to the Manager, ICT Procurement, and will be responsible for the strategic procurement of ICT within a complex health environment. ICT experience is not required to apply.

Your new role will involve:

* Managing a diverse procurement portfolio that includes products, services, and solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies
* Assisting in delivering SA Health’s forward procurement plan, which includes hardware to support the new Women’s and Children’s hospital, and the expansion of the electronic medical record system to include more public hospitals and healthcare facilities, amongst other exciting projects
* Leading continuous improvement through AI and data-driven decision-making, strategic risk management, and stakeholder engagement
* Driving contract performance through negotiation and supplier management, ensuring value for money and the best possible outcomes for the state

Key requirements:

* Proven ability to manage a portfolio of procurement activities including multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
* ICT procurement experience is not required, however experience in procurement within public sector or a regulated environment is highly regarded
* Leadership experience or ambition, or having previously been the “go-to” person in the team would be advantageous but not essential
* You will be an outcome focused professional, passionate about delivering value for money and performance from your sourcing and category management activities
* Qualifications in supply chain or commerce, and/or CIPS qualifications are beneficial but not essential

SA Health’s modern offices are located in the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research on North Terrace and are walking distance from public transport.
