About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong local woman to support the delivery of a program focused on supporting the partners, ex partners & families of men participating in our men's behavioural change program, Change Em Ways (CEW). You will be working individually and with groups of Aboriginal women experiencing family and domestic violence in Broome and the Kimberley, working closely with our CEW teams.

Key duties of the role:

* Provide support to the partners, ex partners and families of men participating in our men's behavioural change program, Change Em Ways
* Work to increase the safety of Aboriginal women and their families who are experiencing family domestic violence in Broome and other locations in the Kimberley
* Liaise with stakeholders to improve service delivery and program outcomes
* Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, alongside Aboriginal staff in a culturally secure manner

As the successful applicant, you will have:

* Qualifications in family and domestic violence, community services or a related field of work
* Experience in program and service delivery to a diverse range of participants within a human services setting - particularly in the areas of family and domestic violence
* Case management experience including working with women and families from diverse backgrounds with complex needs, particularly family and domestic violence
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to communicate effectively in the Kimberley cultural context
* Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Outlook / email and client databases
* A valid 'C' class driver's licence with no restrictions.

Relevant information:

* Full time, fixed term contract to 31st December 2026; with possibility of extension
* The position is based in Broome; with regular overnight travel to specified locations in the Kimberley region
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.

Selection criteria:

* Knowledge of, and experience in, program and service delivery to a diverse range of participants within a human services setting - particularly in the areas of family and domestic violence
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues relating to family and domestic violence including the different types of abuse, and how to develop effective safety plans
* Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, working successfully with Aboriginal staff in a culturally secure manner
* Case management experience including working with families from diverse backgrounds, with complex needs including family violence, housing, drug and alcohol, mental health, child protection and legal issues
* Experience in liaising with stakeholders to improve service delivery and outcomes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in the Kimberley cultural context
* Ability to use IT systems including MS Word, Excel, Outlook / email, including how to document confidential client information appropriately on client management systems

What we offer:

$105,000 - $112,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience plus travel allowance. 5 weeks Annual Leave with 17.5% loading per annum, Not for Profit generous Salary packaging which includes remote housing benefits, Anniversary payment after 12 months of employment, additional leave days at Christmas and 2 days Wellbeing leave, access to above award Compassionate Leave, access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and study opportunities.
