THE ROLE
As a Housing Officer with Regional Housing, you will play a meaningful role in supporting people to achieve safe, stable housing and stronger connections within their community. This is a socially conscious role where your work directly contributes to positive outcomes for individuals, families, and the broader community.
Working within a supportive and experienced team, you will manage a portfolio of tenancies across social, transitional, and affordable housing programs. You will deliver high-quality tenancy management that balances empathy with accountability, supporting tenants through education, early intervention, and referral to appropriate services where required.
Reporting to the General Manager, Housing Services, you will ensure all tenancy and customer management activities are delivered in line with legislation, funding agreements, and organisational policy. This includes eligibility assessments, rent and arrears management, inspections, tenancy reviews, accurate record keeping, and timely escalation of risks.
You will work collaboratively with tenants, community partners, and government stakeholders, recognising that housing stability is closely linked to access of broader supports. Supported by strong systems, clear processes, and a positive team culture, this role suits someone who is motivated by purpose, values fairness and dignity, and wants their work to have a genuine social impact.
This role is a fulltime position with the option to join an RDO roster, working 76 hours across a nine day fortnight.
