Where And How You Can Work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co‑working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. While we support flexible, remote‑friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Sydney so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.


What You’d Be Doing In This Role

We created Canva with a mission to empower the world to design, which means offering content and experiences that reflect the diversity and vibrancy of the world around us. To build a truly local product and marketplace, we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to guide, support, and educate key business units on TA best practices as you help scale their teams. In this 12‑Month Contract role, you’ll be responsible for finding top Contractor and Permanent talent across APAC and SEA. You’ll build strong partnerships with marketing and design stakeholders to understand Canva’s evolving needs and lead hiring for designers, creative leads, marketers, and other specialised roles across our International and Marketing organisations. You’ll develop innovative recruiting strategies with a focus on global sourcing, diversity hiring, and engaging passive talent. Above all, you’ll champion an exceptional candidate experience, acting as the primary advocate for candidates throughout the process and connecting them to the magic of working at Canva.


At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On

* Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for contingent workforce roles, supporting creative advertising and sourcing strategies to engage high‑quality candidates quickly.
* Lead innovative sourcing approaches to consistently attract top talent into our design and creative teams.
* Hire globally with speed and quality, including in new markets, by researching and adapting to local hiring cultures.
* Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role needs, provide guidance on contractor and freelancer hiring best practices, and offer strategic talent recommendations.
* Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by sharing Canva’s story, vision and culture, and acting as a strong brand ambassador.
* Take a data‑driven, solution‑oriented approach to continually improve contingent hiring processes, drive efficiency, and create clarity for both candidates and stakeholders.


You’re probably a match if you

* Proven experience in a fast‑paced recruitment role, ideally with a track record of hiring top design, or marketing talent.
* Strong appreciation for culture and language, with an awareness of cross‑cultural nuances and a passion for building a global workforce.
* Experience creating hiring processes from scratch, partnering with teams hiring for the first time, and providing strategic guidance in contingent hiring.
* A commitment to diversity and pride in building teams with varied perspectives, backgrounds, and ideas.
* Independent, adaptable, and highly motivated — able to dive into the details, deliver quality outcomes, and juggle multiple priorities.
* Creative in your sourcing approach, going beyond job boards and LinkedIn to explore platforms, tools, networks, and databases to uncover exceptional talent.
* Able to leverage Canva’s product, culture, and mission to attract and inspire the right candidates.
