Job Title: Senior SAP Basis Consultant
Role and Responsibilities:
* SAP System Implementation and Upgrades: Lead the implementation and upgrade of SAP systems according to client specifications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
* Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert level technical support and troubleshoot complex issues within the SAP Basis environment.
* System Monitoring and Performance Optimisation: Monitor SAP systems to ensure peak performance, implement performance tuning, and conduct regular system health checks.
* Security Management: Implement and manage SAP security settings and user administration, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
* Backup and Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive data backup and recovery procedures, testing them regularly to ensure they meet the required service levels.
* Project Leadership and Mentoring: Lead smaller SAP Basis projects, providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
* Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all SAP systems, processes, and configurations. Conduct effective knowledge transfer to end-users and other IT teams.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant professional experience can also be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Proven experience as a SAP Basis Consultant, preferably in a leadership role, with a strong background in SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and/or SAP S/4HANA.
* In-depth understanding of SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, security management, and backup/recovery procedures.
* Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, and other related technologies.
* Familiarity with SAP HANA Administration and Database Management Systems is required.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to successfully complete specific goals and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
