Key Role in Mineral Ore Processing:
About the Position
The role of Application Development Metallurgist is crucial in establishing commercial advantages for mines through the evaluation of products for mineral ore flotation. This position involves improving grade and recovery or reducing chemical costs, thereby supporting Business Development initiatives and product life cycle processes for existing customers.
This position requires occasional domestic travel and is based out of our Lara manufacturing site and flotation lab.

Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Testing: Conduct laboratory applicational testing of developmental products on ore samples obtained from target customers.
2. Technical Support: Provide technical support and recommendations to the Mining Solutions Sales and Business Development Team.
3. Planning and Execution: Plan and conduct lab and/or industrial trials or industrial trials at customers' premises.
4. Documentation: Generate documentation and reports with technical solutions.
5. Customer Relationship Management: Technical support and product recommendations to customers' Metallurgical teams.
6. R&D Partnerships: Manage relationship with universities and research institutes through R&D programs.
7. Maintenance and Waste Disposal: Maintain laboratory equipment and handle mineral and liquid waste disposal.

Requirements

* Education: Bachelor of Mineral Processing Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy or related subject.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in flotation laboratory or mine environments.
* Desirable Qualifications: Post-graduate qualifications in mineral processing-related disciplines.
