* Arranging appropriate referrals for clients to internal and external services as required.
* Identifying and documenting systemic issues and trends arising from casework.
* Engaging assertively with clients, including proactive follow‐up at agreed intervals to encourage service engagement, and providing indirect client services where required (e.g., case notes, coordination, documentation).
* Participating in local community and statewide activities and projects to support awareness and accessibility of Gambler's Help services.

Who we're looking for

* A genuine interest in supporting individuals, families, and affected others experiencing gambling‐related harms.
* Relevant counselling experience providing therapeutic support in a clinical or community setting.
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a closely aligned discipline.
* Demonstrated clinical competence, ideally within a multidisciplinary team and with clients presenting multiple or complex needs.
* Experience or strong understanding of the not‐for‐profit sector and the operations of community organisations.
* Eligibility for professional membership/registration with APS (AHPRA), AASW, PACFA, or Level 2+ ACA membership.

What will make you stand out

* Experience working specifically in gambling harm, addiction, or behavioural change counselling.
* Confidence in delivering evidence‐based interventions, such as CBT, MI, trauma‐informed or strengths‐based approaches.
* Strong rapport‐building skills, especially with clients experiencing vulnerability or complex challenges.
* Experience collaborating with community organisations, health services, or external stakeholders.
* Ability to contribute to service development and continuous improvement activities.
* Advanced understanding of referral pathways, risk identification, and coordinated care responses.

What's in it for you

* Supportive & inclusive culture– Work with like‐minded colleagues and leaders who genuinely care, in a team that values connection and collaboration.
* Flexible work arrangements– Balance your way with hybrid options, community‐based work, and flexibility to support your life outside of work.
* Great salary packaging benefits– Boost your take‐home pay with up to $15,900 tax‐free per year, plus an additional $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
