Our Devon Street Road Resource Centre is looking for its next **Technical and Laboratory Manager**. Whilst you will be responsible for leading a team of lab technicians carrying out day to day testing of asphalt both at the plant and in situ the role is also a part of the senior management team responsible for managing over-all quality control, process optimisation between technical and other functions and driving Downers use of up-to-date sustainable asphalt materials. The role would be well suited to someone with an ability to influence and with a high regard for safety, quality and a solution focused attitude
**What you’ll bring**
- Extensive experience in construction materials testing (including asphalt)
- Cert IV in Laboratory techniques or equivalent
- Strong leadership capabilities with a drive to inspire your team
- Proven track record for delivering results
- Current General Construction Induction card and Driver’s License
- NATA signatory for construction materials laboratory with exposure to NATA audits
- Good understanding of ISO9001 and ISO17025 requirements
- A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
