Job Summary
* The Area Manager oversees the overall Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management associated with Infrastructure and General Services scope.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Accountability for area cost and schedule through the life of the project, from Engineering through commissioning.
* Coordination with project Functional Managers to support Project goals.
* Implementation and monitoring operations are compliant with site rules, ES&H policies and procedures, quality controls and relevant regulatory standards.
* Direction of work in the field through all phases of construction, supervision and direction of contractors, subordinate supervision and functional support team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
* A minimum of 13-15 years of relevant experience.
* Knowledge of Bechtel organization, policies, procedures, and programs including QA and Safety.
* Experience with reimbursable projects, especially in the Mining and Metals sector.
* Ability to effectively organise staff operating in a matrix organisation.
