**About the role**:
The Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB) is an independent statutory authority which exists to regulate the teaching profession in South Australia. It establishes and maintains a Teachers Registration System and professional standards to ensure that registered Teachers in South Australia are competent, fit and qualified to take on the responsibility for the care of children in schools and pre-schools.
The Board is constituted of 16 members and is a specialist body that can only exercise the powers and responsibilities determined in the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004. To acquit the TRB's responsibilities under the Act, and the Teachers Registration and Standards Regulations 2021 across the Teachers Registration Life Cycle, TRB is enabled by four core delivery units, which are supported by TRB's Corporate Services and ICT teams: The Office of the Registrar, Registration Unit, Policy and Strategic Development Unit and Investigations Unit.
A program of work has been initiated to implement a flexible and resilient Teachers Registration approach that will not only effectively and efficiently deliver TRB's outcomes, but is also able to meet the emerging legislative and operational needs of TRB, and support the current and future demands of the teaching profession. The program includes considerations across TRB processes, systems and staff.
The Director, Digital Transformation plays a key role in ensuring TRB transitions its systems, business processes and people toward a data driven decision making culture. The role will be pivotal in uplifting its use of digital platforms to ensure TRB's future Teachers Registration Life Cycle processes will drive a digitally engaging and streamlined user experience and deliver improved compliance and productivity outcomes.
Within this context, the Director, Digital Transformation will work across multiple disciplines and stakeholders as they navigate implementation of new systems and processes within the TRB and maintain productivity within the current operating environment.
