As a Lecturer in the Masters of Counselling, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of education and ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. Staying current with emerging teaching and counselling practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering face-to-face teaching sessions and learning materials.
Creating learning resources such as study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions.
Providing student support through various modes including face-to-face, LMS, phone, or email.
Encouraging student engagement and participation.
Marking assessments in accordance with policies.
Identifying at-risk students and developing tailored learning plans.
Maintaining subject sites on the Learning Management System.
About You
Masters qualification or higher in counselling, psychology, or related fields (PhD preferred).
At least 3 years of postgraduate experience as a Counsellor, Psychologist, Therapist, or similar role.
Teaching experience at tertiary or vocational levels is desirable but not mandatory.
A passion for teaching and knowledge sharing.
Proven ability to coordinate and deliver tertiary courses successfully.
Eligible for membership of the Australian Counselling Association.
