The Role This is a pivotal senior hire for a national membership-based organisation known for its supportive culture, strong community ethos, and commitment to elevating industry standards. As Head of Events & Partnerships, you will lead and elevate the national events program - spanning major conferences, awards, leadership retreats, state-based activations, and member-engagement experiences. The business is seeking fresh thinking, creativity, and a strategic approach to move beyond “rinse and repeat” formats and deliver memorable, brand-defining experiences. This role also owns the management and growth of key commercial partnerships and sponsorships. You’ll nurture long-term relationships, assess new partnership opportunities, and maximise sponsor value and engagement across all events, including stewardship of a longstanding charity partnership. Working closely with the CEO, creative and marketing teams, and an established Events Coordinator, you’ll have the support, creative resources and organisational backing needed to build something exceptional. Key Responsibilities Lead and elevate a national events calendar spanning training events, summits, retreats, state-based awards, leadership events, informal recognition moments, and an annual conference (events range from 20–400 pax). Reimagine event strategy and member experience, injecting creativity, innovation, and fresh design thinking. Drive end-to-end project management - budgets, timelines, run sheets, risk, logistics, speakers, suppliers and production. Collaborate with internal creative, design and marketing teams to ensure brand and experience excellence across campaigns, assets and event content. Engage with members to source speakers, talent, ideas and themes that bring events to life. Own all sponsorships and partnerships, strengthening existing relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities, and acting as the key contact for sponsors across all event touchpoints. Represent the organisation on-site, building rapport, creating energy, and acting as a trusted connection point for members, partners and stakeholders. Travel interstate to deliver and oversee events (onsite delivery and presence at every event is not a requirement of this role).
