About the role
Lead a team responsible for ensuring exceptional airport presentation, seamless passenger experiences, while driving continuous improvement and operational performance. Focus on safety, efficiency, and service excellence, playing a pivotal role in business continuity, emergency response, and incident management.

In this role, you will
* Lead a high-performing frontline team, ensuring a safe, secure, and seamless airport experience while meeting all legislative, licensing, and safety requirements.
* Maintain exceptional terminal and landside presentation standards, delivering outstanding service to passengers, stakeholders, and service partners across Sydney Airport.
* Oversee and manage non-routine operations, including off-schedule flights, delays, weather disruptions, and other operational challenges, escalating as required.
* Partner with the Aviation Operations team to review and enhance operational procedures, business continuity plans, and emergency response strategies.
* Collaborate with Commercial and Development teams to ensure projects align with operational efficiency, terminal functionality, and passenger experience objectives.
* Monitor key operational performance metrics, leveraging data insights to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, ground handlers, and regulatory agencies, providing clear direction and implementing remedial actions when necessary.
* Demonstrate strategic thinking, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration to achieve business goals.
About you
* Tertiary qualifications in aviation, business management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* Proven experience leading high-performing operational teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Strong background in managing emergency responses, abnormal operations, and incident management with a calm and decisive approach.
* Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data insights to enhance performance and efficiency.
* Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to the ever-changing nature of airport operations.
* Resilient and tenacious leadership style, capable of leading from the front while remaining flexible and agile.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels, build strong relationships, and present compelling arguments.
* A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach, able to balance long-term operational planning with day-to-day problem-solving.
