Job Title

Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson)

Duty Description

As a Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) you will provide non‐clinical support across the hospital on a 7‐day, 24‐hour rotating roster. Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting nursing staff with patient care
• Transporting patients for admissions and discharges
• Attending all emergency codes and mortuary duties
• Assisting security staff during code‐black situations
• Being on call for bed cleaning during night duty as required
• Covering ICU nights, weekends, and public holidays when ICU technicians are unavailable

Roster & Shift Times

• Day shift – 0600 – 1400
• Afternoon shift – 1400 – 2200
• Night shift – 2200 – 0600

What You Bring

• Current NSW Security Licence
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Previous experience in support services in a healthcare environment

Position Details

Temperate (six months) Full‐time and Part‐time (7 days 24‐hour rotating roster)

Salary Classification: Health and Security Assistant

Remuneration: $33.39 per hour plus shift penalties and allowances

Pre‐employment Conditions

• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa with unlimited rights to work in Australia
• Successfully complete pre‐employment checks, including reference checks, work rights, criminal history check, and WWCC
• Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role
