About the Role
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Part‑Time Bookkeeper to take charge of the day‑to‑day financial recording and administration for our company and its associated entities. Reporting to the Company Administrator and the board of directors, you will be the key person ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
This is a perfect role for a skilled bookkeeper who values autonomy and takes pride in maintaining impeccable records.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage full‑function bookkeeping using Xero/MYOB (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries).
* Process payroll and manage employee superannuation.
* Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS).
* Maintain financial records for investment properties and share portfolios.
* Assist with the preparation of monthly reports and supporting documentation for the company's external accountants and auditors.
* Support the financial setup and ongoing administration of family trusts.
* Provide general administrative support to the office.
About You
You are a reliable and proactive professional with a strong eye for detail. You are confident in managing your own workload and understand the importance of discretion and confidentiality.
To be successful, you will have
* At least 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
* Formal qualifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting (e.g., Certificate IV or Diploma).
* High proficiency in Xero or MYOB is essential.
* Solid experience with BAS preparation and payroll processing.
* The ability to manage accounts for multiple entities.
* Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
* Experience in the administration of family trusts is preferred.
* Full working rights in Australia.
