Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client in Ballarat for a skilled Automotive Electrician or a capable Trades Assistant with experience in electrical work and wiring layouts.
This is a full-time, permanent role with great hours and a strong focus on safety and quality, working on electrical fit-outs for trailers in a modern facility.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role where you’ll carry out electrical fit-outs on heavy trailers and equipment, working from wiring drawings to deliver high-quality results.
We’re also open to considering a skilled Trades Assistant with wiring experience and an eye for detail, at a lower hourly rate.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with an RDO once a month.
Overtime: Not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical fit-outs on trucks and trailers.
- Read, interpret, and work from wiring drawings.
- Diagnose, test, and repair electrical systems to a high standard.
- Work safely and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Experience with Canbus systems is highly regarded.
About You
- Trade qualified Automotive Electrician, or proven experience as a Trades Assistant with wiring expertise.
- Confident working from and creating wiring diagrams.
- Experience with heavy vehicles or trailer fit-outs preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Organised and safety-focused.
