We are seeking for a caring and motivated Hospitality Manager/Cook for residential care services. As a Hospitality Manager/Cook at Serene, you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment to meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
Duties
- Prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents.
- Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual and cultural needs are met.
- Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.
- Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures.
- Accept food delivery and record temperature according to food safety standard.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment,
- Minimum 1+ years of healthcare/aged care meal preparation experience is required.
- Aged care experience is essential.
- Minimum 1+ years of aged care experience is required.
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent English communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to solve problems independently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a excellent team.
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts morning, afternoon Mon-Sun
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
