Electrical Maintenance Coordinator


About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator to lead and manage electrical maintenance crews within our Maintenance Program. This program ensures the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of planned maintenance and reactive repairs across Logan Water's network. In this leadership role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, optimise resources, and ensure compliance with technical standards and safety requirements. You'll also play a key role in implementing new technologies, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Logan Water's resilience and disaster management strategies.

Key indicators:

* Coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities, balancing scheduled work with urgent repairs and incident response.
* Apply technical expertise to optimise crew productivity, resource allocation, and work practices for improved efficiency.
* Provide specialist input into isolation planning, permitting, and commissioning of new assets and projects.
* Monitor and report on maintenance performance, including asset condition, cost trends, and incident investigations.
* Ensure compliance with Logan Water's technical standards, internal quality requirements, and external regulatory obligations.
* Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and work methods to improve safety and operational outcomes.
* Manage after-hours delivery frameworks and rosters to maintain service continuity while proactively managing workforce fatigue.
* Oversee cost control, procurement processes, and budget monitoring for maintenance activities.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to enable integrated service delivery.
* Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all maintenance teams.

You'll possess

* Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology) with extensive relevant experience.
* Significant experience in electrical maintenance or construction within water supply, sewer, or treatment systems (Low Voltage essential; High Voltage desirable).
* Knowledge and experience in SCADA monitoring systems.
* Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplined teams in a complex maintenance environment.
* Strong understanding of Queensland Workplace Health and Safety legislation and its practical application.
* Technical expertise in maintenance planning, minor works, and interpretation of plans and specifications.
* Experience managing substantial budgets and delivering cost-effective outcomes.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills with sound decision-making capability.
* Proficiency in Office 365; GIS experience highly regarded.

Requirements

* Ability to meet vaccination requirements (Hepatitis A & B, Q-Fever, Tetanus)
* Current "C" class driver's licence
* General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) ticket.
* On-call Roster
