Your Role:
As Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll play a key part in maintaining Stanbroke’s reputation for premium quality and food safety. Working closely with production and operations teams, you’ll lead our site Quality Assurance program, ensuring compliance with export, food safety, and customer standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the Quality Assurance function to ensure compliance with export, food safety, and customer standards.
- Manage audits and certification programs, including BRCGS, AUS-MEAT, DAFF/Export, and customer audits.
- Maintain and enhance the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP programs.
- Oversee readiness for commissioning our new Hemmant facility, ensuring systems and documentation meet export requirements.
- Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and train production and operations teams to embed a strong food safety culture.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and customers on quality and compliance matters.
- Ensure effective document control, traceability, and record-keeping processes.
- Stay up to date with legislation, certification standards, and export requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in QA or Technical Management within meat processing or food manufacturing (export facility experience highly regarded).
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and AUS-MEAT standards.
- Proficiency with QA, compliance, and production systems (experience with iLeader is a plus).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and train cross-functional teams.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Confidence in managing audits and liaising with regulators and customers.
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Meat Science, or a related field (preferred).
