Superior Quarry Testing is a family owned and run independent construction materials testing laboratory operating in South East Queensland.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for people interested in a career as CMT Laboratory Technicians to work in our Toowoomba laboratory across all areas of concrete, soils and aggregate testing. This is a casual entry level position, and you must have full availability across Monday - Friday with some Saturday work and hold a current driver's license. An immediate start is on offer for successful candidates and school leavers are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be Australian citizens with full work rights to be eligible for this position.
KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Follow instructions and adhere to policy and procedures;
* Complete laboratory and/or field testing tasks within required timeframes and in accordance with standards and regulations;
* Accurately complete all laboratory paperwork with good handwriting;
* Sample preparation and splitting out;
* Equipment and temperature checks and maintenance;
* General housekeeping and cleaning.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
* Full availability required Monday - Friday and Saturday when required;
* Saturday work is mandatory when required and forms part of regular duties;
* Early morning starts depending on work demands & overtime when necessary;
* Energetic and enthusiastic individual who is goal driven wanting to succeed and establish a career;
* Is physically fit and able to perform a manual labour-intensive role which includes frequent heavy lifting;
* A commitment to safety, quality, integrity and honesty;
* Good attention to detail and able to follow instructions;
* MUST be reliable and punctual;
* Self-motivated and likes a challenge;
* Able to work individually unsupervised and as part of a team;
* Good communication, teamwork, organisational and time management skills;
* Quick learner, good at English, Maths and an interest in Science;
* Must be well presented with a professional outlook and work ethic;
* The ability to obtain a construction white card and pass a medical and/or drug screen if required;
* A current driver's license or working towards obtaining one;
