Senior Accountant Role Overview
\
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their financial and compliance needs.
\
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial statements and documentation for Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs)
• Manage day-to-day administration and compliance obligations under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act and Australian Taxation Office regulations
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Individual Annual Tax Returns, and other statutory documents
• Identify and resolve compliance and tax issues to ensure timely completion of legislative requirements and ATO deadlines
• Provide guidance and support to junior and offshore team members
• Assist in managing workflows and supporting the broader SMSF team's operational needs

Required Skills and Qualifications
\
To be successful in this role, you will require:
\

1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification
\
2. At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to SMSFs
\
3. Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients
\
4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a supportive and dynamic work environment
\
5. Knowledge of Class Super software is desirable
\
6. Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities and deadlines
\
7. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes
\
8. Professional membership with the relevant accounting bodies
\
9. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
\
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
