Activity Optimisation Lead, Mental Health Department

About the Role:
This is a Fixed Term, Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight for 2 years within the RCH Mental Health Department.
You will be responsible for successfully driving system change across RCH Mental Health to enable the achievement of expected service-wide performance targets. These include the mental health targets contained in the Statement of Priorities for the RCH and achievement of NWAU activity targets across inpatient and outpatient RCH Mental Health services.
Classification for this position will range from Grade 7, Level 1 to Grade 7 Level 5 (AO71to AO75)
What you’ll achieve:
* Strong understanding of how processes and techniques interact with other related functions.
* Actively inspire a shared vision, model a values-based approach, and create a culture in which new ways of working are encouraged and enabled
* Promote and facilitate accountability for quality and safety systems and the achievement of identified safety and quality KPIs.
Your skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a related field (Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Public Health, Project management) and/or significant relevant industry experience.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant area.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with data systems and data analytics to improve outcomes

About the Department:
The RCH Mental Health is a service that provides wellbeing, and mental health supports for young people aged 0-18 years that are experiencing serious mental health and wellbeing concerns.
We provide a range of hospital inpatient, specialist, consultation and community mental health services for infants, children and young people. Our teams are generally interdisciplinary (a mix of mental health care professionals of different backgrounds). They have extensive child, youth and family expertise. We assess young people and offer a range of ways to help in recovery from a mental illness. Our mental health professionals include:Nurses,Occupational Therapists,Paediatricians (doctors),Psychiatrists (doctors),Psychologists,Social Workers,Speech Pathologists,Family Therapists andPeer Workers.
