We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Carrapateena Mine. This role involves leading a group of engineers to execute various tasks related to ground control management, ensuring adherence to geotechnical management plans, and analyzing data for mine design purposes.
This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. You will be responsible for managing a team, mentoring junior colleagues, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive value-added projects. In addition, you will need to communicate effectively with key stakeholders regarding geotechnical hazard management.
* Solid experience in underground hard rock Geotechnical Engineering is essential
* Sub-level caving and/or block caving experience is highly regarded
* Demonstrated ability to deliver and drive safe geotechnical practices is crucial
* Experience managing a team of technical professionals is necessary
* Familiarity with geotechnical and geological software (IMS suite, mXrap, Rocscience suite, Leapfrog Geo, Deswik) is beneficial
About You
You should have undergraduate qualifications in either geotechnical engineering, mining engineering, civil engineering or earth sciences (geology, geophysics).
