Maco Electrics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team based in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive quotations for electrical construction projects.
What you'll be doing
Prepare detailed estimates for electrical construction projects based on plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Analyse project requirements and scope to identify materials, labour, and equipment needed.
Research and stay up-to-date on industry pricing, labour rates, and supplier costs.
Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information.
Prepare comprehensive project estimates and proposals within tight deadlines.
Provide support and advice during the tender and bidding process.
Monitor project costs and identify potential savings opportunities.
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry (multi-residential high-rise towers, commercial, health and educational building).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate project costs.
Proven track record of preparing competitive and successful tenders and proposals.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
Familiarity with construction estimating software (Simpro, Bluebeam revu, Autocad, Google Suite).
