About the role Our client is seeking a ready made Maintenance Fitter to service their hardwood sawmill operations. The work involves break down repairs, preventative maintenance and project/ improvement works. This is a full-time role and is available for an immediate start. The role is based in Theodore which is a small Queensland town situated on the Dawson River just off the Leichhardt Highway 565 kilometres north-west from Brisbane. Tasks and Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment within the production facility Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with the maintenance plan Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in line with health and safety standards Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment Skills and Experience Relevant trade qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing environment would be highly regarded Excellent communication skills/some computer literacy Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. Experience with, or willingness and ability to learn about specialised machinery controlled by PLCs or computer interfaces Assist with the installation, adjustment, and alignment of new equipment or components, ensuring correct mechanical setup according to specifications Benefits and Perks Attractive salary package on offer; $125k - $130k super vehicle ACCOMODATION Supportive and positive work culture everyday!
