The Healesville Hotel is a historic pub in the heart of town, with a reputation for excellent food and experiences. Featuring an inviting dining room and spacious public bar and huge beer garden, the pub is a local favourite and tourist destination.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook and present a wide range of menu items in accordance with venue standards.
• Plan, develop, and cost menus, including specials and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, stock levels, and wastage.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety compliance.
• Train and oversee kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safe kitchen practices.
• Assist with ordering, inventory control, supplier management, and kitchen workflow.
• Ensure timely service during peak periods and coordinate with front-of-house staff.
Skills & Experience Required
• At least 12 months experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high service volumes.
• Knowledge of Australian food safety standards and kitchen operations.
