The Counsellor is an integral part our Mental Health team which is an interdisciplinary team tasked with managing clients and/or their systems with a diverse range of presentations including mental illness, relationship and marriage, substance abuse and addictions, employment and marginalisation, CALD and culturally related challenges, personal resilience and capacity-building.
Our Mental Health team consists of experts with the skills matrix across psychology, psychiatry and counselling disciplines. The MH team exists within Shrink & Co.'s ecosystem of supports to ensure clients in need of a solution at their particular point in life is able to access the right help, at the right intensity and be able to journey with them through end-to-end solutions. The MH team works alongside and collaboratively with our Behaviour Insights Team (BIT) where required, particularly when a wider family system is involved in managing family members with neurodevelopment disorders or behavioural issues.
This position would suit anyone with a counselling background who is self-driven, able to work in a team environment as well as individually, is willing and able to travel within the geography of our service footprint to deliver individual and group counselling services to our clients. Ongoing training and professional development is provided alongside multidisciplinary supervisions and team-based approach, including from senior counsellors.

Mandatory requirements
* Professional accreditation (or eligible to be accredited) by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
* NSW Working with Children's Check clearance
* QLD Blue Card clearance
* Satisfactory NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Satisfactory vaccination status
* Driver's licence
Highly desirable
* Experience in the area of Counselling within a culturally diverse context
* Group program development and/or delivery
* Registration, or willingness and eligibility to register as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS
* Experience in the area of Counselling in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders in any setting
* Experience in family and systems work, including parenting in any setting
