Allambi Care is a multi‐disciplined leader in the human services field working across Victoria and NSW. We support adolescents who cannot live with their families and have child protection orders, ensuring a safe, homely environment.
Daily Responsibilities
* Building positive relationships with young people and your fellow team members
* Following a routine developed specifically for a young person's needs
* Transporting young people to and from school, day programs and appointments
* Completing activities and enjoying mealtimes together
* Assist in the implementation of programmes designed for growth and development of young people
* Completing summary notes
* Help create a safe and homely environment for them to live in and enjoy
Essential Criteria
* Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment)
* Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)
* National Police Check (to be obtained via https://www.employmentscreeninggroup.com/au/allambi/)
* International Police Check for applicants who have lived continuously for 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years
* A current driver's licence
* Willingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check
* Current NDIS Worker Check (obtained via https://www.service.vic.gov.au/services/national-disability-insurance-scheme)
Required Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or
* A recognised relevant qualification
Required Competencies
* CHCMHS007 – Work effectively in trauma informed care
* CHCPRT009 – Provide primary residential care
* CHCCCS009 – Facilitate responsible behaviour
Allambi Care will facilitate the completion of the three mandatory units of competency within the first three months of employment if they have not been obtained prior to applying through our partnered RTO BIAE (RTO no 45241).
