Job Title
A cleaner in charge is responsible for opening and closing the school, carrying out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, drinking troughs and other items of general cleaning.
About the Role
* The successful applicant will ideally have experience in supervising staff, as they will work alongside school staff and manage staff performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services.
* In addition, the Cleaner In Charge will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, and record and respond to issues and concerns.

The Cleaner In Charge will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment, working well both individually and as part of a team. They should be organised, honest, reliable and punctual, and have knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.
Requirements
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check
* Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
