About the Role:
Located in Melbourne's vibrant western suburbs, this innovative and supportive F–9 school is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Secondary Visual Arts Teacher for Years 7–9. This full-time position commences mid-August.
With around 1,000 students from Foundation to Year 9, the school prides itself on a warm, inclusive culture that prioritises student wellbeing, collaboration, and high-quality teaching.  * Develop and deliver a comprehensive Visual Arts curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering diverse techniques, mediums, and concepts.
 * Create engaging, differentiated lessons incorporating hands-on projects, demonstrations, discussions, and art history.
 * Manage art studio resources, ensuring a safe and organised learning environment.
 * Teach a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography, and digital media.
 * Assess student skills and creativity through critiques, portfolio reviews, and exhibitions.
 * Organise and curate art displays to showcase student work within the school and community.
 * Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary and cross-curricular projects.
Skills & Experience:
 * Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
 * Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
 * Current VIT registration
 * Demonstrate previous teaching or placement experience in teaching Secondary Art in Australia/NZ
 * Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
 * Teach engaging Years 7–9 Visual Arts classes in a full-time role, inspiring creativity and practical skills in your students
 * Commence mid-August, joining a welcoming and collaborative team eager to support your transition
 * Be part of a vibrant and fast-growing F–9 school community of 1,000 students, built on a foundation of collaboration, wellbeing, and student-centred learning
 * Work with a supportive leadership team in an environment that values innovation, ongoing professional development, and meaningful teacher impact
