The Role
This is a 5‐month fixed‐term, part‐time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency. The successful applicant will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in a clean and tidy condition, provide a suitable growing workplace for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management, and maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition. Advising the Manager Corporate Services on school grounds maintenance and performing tasks using secure work practices are also required. Accurate gardening records must be maintained.
To be successful, the Gardener – Handyperson should be confident in performing minor repairs and have sound knowledge of secure work practices.

Eligibility
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
