We are seeking an experienced Estimating Team Leader to join the Group and lead a high-performing team of estimators. This role combines hands-on estimating with leadership responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to influence both team performance and internal processes across the Group’s brands.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of estimators across Scott Salisbury Homes, Bradford Homes, and Bradford Projects.
- Remaining hands-on with estimating tasks, including tender preparation, contract pricing, and cost management.
- Driving process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the estimating function.
- Collaborating with construction, design, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of project scope, budgets, and costings.
- Maintaining and enhancing estimating systems, databases, and industry knowledge to ensure competitive and accurate submissions.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with proven experience in residential construction estimating, combined with the ability to lead and support a team while mentoring and developing staff. A solid understanding of construction techniques, methods, and industry standards, along with experience using estimating software such as Databuild, Buildsoft, or similar, will be highly valued. You will have attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to work independently when needed.
